2. Registered Manager
- Registered Managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of care facilities, ensuring that high standards of care and compliance are maintained. They play a crucial role in managing staff, coordinating care services, and ensuring that the facility meets all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the care facility, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring they provide high-quality care and adhere to professional standards.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure the facility complies with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety guidelines, and maintain the facility’s registration.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the facility’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability and resource allocation to meet the needs of the residents or clients.
- Resident/Client Care: Ensure that residents or clients receive person-centered care, tailored to their individual needs, and that their wellbeing is prioritized.
- Communication and Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for residents/clients, families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Registration: Must hold a valid registration as a manager, typically with a regulatory body such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in the UK or equivalent in other regions.
- Experience in Care Management: Demonstrated experience in managing a care facility or similar environment, with a strong understanding of care standards and regulatory requirements.
